Back in February 2025, Marvel Rivals rolled out a Valentine's Day event to give away free skins for Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic. I remember logging in with a little hope and a lot of patience. The skins looked adorable—wedding-inspired cosmetics for two of the newest characters at the time. But when the event depends on being in the exact same lobby as a handful of sponsored creators, most players end up feeling cheated. The odds were already tiny, and the time investment felt rough. If Marvel Rivals wants to do another event like this, I hope NetEase reconsiders the structure. Otherwise, I might just sit the next one out and watch from the sidelines.
