So there I was, swinging through the streets of Tokyo 2099 as Venom, thinking I already knew everything about my favorite symbiote. 800 HP? Check. Ridiculous sustain with Symbiotic Resilience? Check. The ability to dive in, cause absolute mayhem, and slip away like a greasy eel? Double check. But then I stumbled upon a clip from streamer Andr3w and my jaw hit the floor – Venom can legitimately delete entire squads in one glorious chomp. And the secret isn’t some hidden combo on Venom himself. It’s two supports holding his hand (or rather, his tentacles) and juicing him up like a cosmic smoothie.

Let’s rewind a bit. Venom’s ultimate, Feast of the Abyss, is already one of the most satisfying abilities in Marvel Rivals. You burrow underground, become a moving puddle of nightmare fuel, and then erupt to devour everyone caught in your radius. It deals damage equal to 50% of each enemy’s current health plus a flat base amount (usually 150, if my memory serves right from the patch notes), while giving Venom a massive bonus health pool equivalent to the damage dealt. Against a full‐health target, that’s a solid chunk – but it won’t kill a 300 HP Duelist or Strategist outright. You need follow‐up damage. You need to pray they don’t get healed before you land another bite. Or… you could just have Mantis and Luna Snow on your team, turning Venom into the Lethal Protector on steroids.

How does this black magic work?

  • Mantis uses her Alien Inspiration ability, which burns one of her Life Orbs to grant an ally a 12% damage boost for 8 seconds. It’s usually reserved for ulting Star‐Lords or Punishers, but slapping it on Venom is the galaxy‐brain move we all overlooked.

  • Luna Snow pops her ultimate, Fate of Both Worlds, and instead of the healing channel, she swaps to the damage amplification mode. That’s right – her ult can give the entire team a 40% damage increase if she feels spicy.

When both buffs land on Venom at the exact same time, the math gets absolutely filthy. The base damage of Feast of the Abyss against a 300 HP hero is 0.5 × 300 + 150 = 300. That’s exactly their full health bar before any buffs, but remember – Feast of the Abyss deals damage based on current health, so if the target isn’t untouched (say they ate a stray Cell Corrosion tick), they might already be lower. Now multiply that 300 by 1.12 (Mantis), then by 1.40 (Luna). That’s 300 × 1.12 = 336, and then 336 × 1.40 = 470 damage. Let that sink in. Even a full 300 HP hero gets overkilled by 170 points. A 250 HP Strategist? Turned into pink mist. And if they were already slightly chipped? You might as well uninstall them from the match.

In Andr3w’s clip, he dived with Venom just as both Mantis and Luna Snow gave him the damage amp. He hit Feast of the Abyss, and the enemy team – a Moon Knight, a Black Widow, and a Loki all clumped together – vanished. Gone. Poof. The kill feed was a waterfall of red. Andr3w didn’t even need to auto‐attack. He just popped ult, and the game handed him a team wipe on a symbiote‐shaped platter.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: Isn’t this a massive resource dump just to make Venom look good? To which I say: absolutely, and it’s 100% worth it. Think about it. In the current meta (and yes, this is 2026 and somehow Marvel Rivals is still letting this madness exist), ultimates win fights. If you can guarantee a fight‐winning ult by coordinating three people for two seconds, you break the game. The enemy Luna used her ult to counter your DPS? Cute. You just one‐shot her through it.

Why hasn’t NetEase nerfed this yet? Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe they’re too busy adding new heroes. Since the launch days, we’ve gotten the full Fantastic Four – The Thing stomping around as a Vanguard and Human Torch burning everything as a Duelist have been a blast, but they don’t hold a candle to this Venom synergy. The Thing can punch people into next week, sure, but he can’t delete a full health backline with one button.

The real beauty here is the psychological damage. Imagine queuing up as a 300 HP hero, confident in your positioning, only to see a Venom puddle slide under you and then – chomp – you’re spectating. No outplay potential. No reaction time. Just pure, unfiltered disrespect. And the best part? Venom gets a giant shield afterward, so even if you somehow survive (spoiler: you won’t), he’ll just bop you with Cellular Corrosion while enjoying his 900 extra HP.

Of course, this god‐mode combo has its counters. If you’re running Mantis and Luna, the enemy can focus them down first. A well‐timed Doctor Strange portal or a punisher turret can disrupt the setup. But in the chaos of competitive play, against a well‐coordinated trio on comms, this is a near‐guaranteed fight win every time Luna’s ultimate is up.

So next time you’re in the hero select screen and someone locks Venom, don’t ask for a second tank. Ask for Mantis and Luna. Then grab some popcorn, because you’re about to witness the symbiote become a one‐alien extinction event. 🕷️💥
